Overview
The Partnerships and Business Names Registration Act provides for the registration of a business name.
Eligibility
Every person other than a partnership who carries on a trading, mining or manufacturing business in New Brunswick and uses a business name other than his/her own name is required to register their business name.
Description
A certificate of business name is required to be filed under the Act.As prescribed by the Act, various filings are required to maintain the business name registration e.g. renewal of certificate of business name every 5 years. The relevant statutory provisions and forms should be referred to.
Fees
Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
