Official visit by the ambassador of France
During his first official visit to New Brunswick, Ambassador Michel Miraillet of France met, recently, with Premier Blaine Higgs, as well as with Glen Savoie, minister responsible for la Francophonie; Local Government and Local Governance Reform Minister Daniel Allain; Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Bill Hogan; and Aboriginal Affairs Minister Arlene Dunn, who is also minister responsible for economic development and small business, minister responsible for Opportunities NB, and minister responsible for immigration. The discussions focused on the New Brunswick-France Development Strategy, twinned municipalities, co-operation in education, and economic and trade agreements with France.
