Your Work - Corrections Officer

What You’ll Do

As a member of the Correction Officers team, be responsible for the supervision of persons in custody.

Enforce institutional policies and procedures, prepare incident reports and participate in the development and delivery of rehabilitation programs and case management. 

Conduct security patrols and ensure institutions are kept safe and orderly. 

Make a difference by providing guidance and assistance to persons in custody.

Your Work Environment

Work within a correction institution or youth facility within a team of professionals. 

Cooperate with outside community agencies to ensure positive reintegration within the community. 

Much of the work is hands on, requiring flexibility in work hours, and the ability to use strong judgment, effective interactive communication and impact and influence skills.
