Overview

The activity of septage handling has been designated as a 'source of contaminant'. This includes cesspools, domestic septic tanks, domestic holding tanks, chemical toilets, portable toilets, vault privies and marina sewage pump-out facilities. Septage haulers are required to have an Approval to Operate a Septage Handling Business.

Eligibility

All septage handling contractors and private septage treatment facilities owners

Description

The haulers are issued Approvals to Operate a Septage Handling Business and each contractor is required to submit an Annual Septage Handling Report.
