Overview
Persons can submit a claim for property damage that they allege was caused by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Claims are investigated and, where appropriate, a resolution is proposed by the Department’s Damage Claims and Court Services Unit.
Eligibility
This process is available to any person who alleges that their property has been damaged by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
Description
The Damage Claims and Court Services Unit of the Property Services Branch deals with alleged claims against the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure related to motor vehicle accidents, highway defects, environmental contamination, and real property damage. Unit staff will investigate claims and, if appropriate, propose a resolution to claimants.
