Description

The Apprenticeship Tuition Rebate (ATR) will be available to registered apprentices once they have successfully completed their first, second, third, fourth or fifth level of block training. Successful completion of a block of training is determined by a successful mark on the block examination and by acceptable attendance at the training institution.

This incentive is meant to encourage apprentices to progress through their apprenticeship program in a timely fashion.

The tuition rebate is equal to amount the apprentice paid for tuition (i.e. the number of weeks of training x $85.00 per week). Payments to eligible recipients will be made in a lump-sum payment upon approval of the application and verification of successful completion of the respective level/block of apprenticeship training.

Eligibility of applicants is also subject to the authentication of identity, verification of the applicant's registered apprenticeship, and reception of required supporting documents.
