Overview

A Disabled Hunter card authorizes the holder to hunt from a stationary motor vehicle.

Eligibility

This program is intended for persons having a permanent serious physical disability which restricts mobility of the lower limbs and any application submitted will be considered on that basis.

Description

For the purposes of the attached application form, a person with a permanent serious physical mobility disability is defined as follows:

"ONE WHO HAS A PERMANENT PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENT OF THE LOWER LIMBS WHICH SEVERELY RESTRICTS MOBILITY TO THE EFFECT THAT HE/SHE IS UNABLE TO WALK MORE THAN 50 METERS ON LEVEL GROUND WITHOUT THE USE OF A CANE OR OTHER ASSISTIVE DEVICE".

Please read the Application For A Disabled Hunter Card form carefully. Parts 1 and 2 must be completed for issuance of a Disabled Hunter card. However, if you are a paraplegic or a single or double amputee of the legs, Part 1 need only be completed.

Should your application meet the criteria of the program, a plastic wallet size "Disabled Hunter card" bearing your name and other personal information will be mailed to you.

Please allow six to eight weeks for processing your application.

Completed application forms may be faxed, mailed or delivered in person to the address on the form and will be accepted any time during the year.
