Where can I anonymously report suspected abuse of a child?

What happens when I report a case of child abuse?

When you report a case of child neglect or abuse you will not have to give your name or any other personal information. We will ask you some questions about what you have seen. All your information will then be reviewed to determine whether the situation should be investigated. If so, it is sent to Child Protection Services for follow-up. If it is determined that the child is being physically and or emotionally abused and/or neglected, further action is taken to protect the child.

We have trained professional staff that can be contacted to begin the process of investigating a suspected case of adult/senior abuse.

Across the province there are shelters who take in persons fleeing abusive relationships. Social Development has made significant changes to how we can help persons leaving abusive relationships. We may be able to provide you with financial help, depending on your monthly income. Contact the Social Development office in your area to find out how they can help
