Overview

Design registration, quality assurance plans and welding procedure registration are required to ensure acceptable standards of quality.

Eligibility

Manufacturers of boilers, pressure vessels or pressure piping systems to be installed in New Brunswick must submit designs for registration.

Owners of boilers and pressure vessels are required to be register the devices annually.

All boiler and pressure vessels must be inspected before going into service.

Description

Design registrations are required for boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure fittings and may be submitted directly to the Chief Inspector or to the Chief Inspector through an approved design review organization (ACI Central is the approved design review organization).

Manufacturers and installers of boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping systems must register quality assurance/control plans with the Technical Inspection Services branch of the Department of Justice and Public Safety to ensure that acceptable quality control systems are in operation.

Welding procedures for welding boilers, pressure vessels or pressure piping systems must be registered with Technical Inspection Services.

Fees

Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
