Overview

Digital literacy training is aimed at helping adults gain the skills required to function in an increasingly digital and online environment. The training is offered free of charge for adult residents of New Brunswick.

The program is a mobile service and supplies a set of laptops for the training. Employers may also arrange to offer the program within the workplace and adapt the learning activities to incorporate workplace materials or occupational tasks.

Individuals and employers interested in these courses may contact the Regional Adult Learning Consultant in their area.

Eligibility

The program is open to adults (18 years of age and over).

Description

The course material covers such themes as computer basics, navigating the Internet, operating common software programs and email accounts, computer security and privacy, and social media.
