Description

The documents in the Archives are provincial treasures. Many are fundamental in protecting the rights and interests of the people, or are essential for understanding and preserving our heritage and culture.

Research tools such as indexes, file lists, box lists, inventories, etc., which are provided to assist with locating information in the records are aggregately known as "finding aids". The records have to be viewed at the Provincial Archives in Fredericton, or if they are on microfilm, can be borrowed through a local archives or library utilizing the microfilm loan system. Records on microfilm are indicated by the "F"-number accompanying the description.
