My wife and I were considering spending a week in New Brunswick this coming summer. Fishing is one of my passions. Do I require a guide to fish at all times?

Non-resident anglers require a licensed guide when fishing for Atlantic salmon, or other species, on Guide Required Waters after the designated date. On other types of waters, a guide is not required.

I am coming to New Brunswick to fish for Atlantic salmon. I understand that I require the services of a guide when angling on Guide Required Waters. Will my guide be able to accompany both myself and a family member when we are angling?

The number of persons that can be accompanied by a guide depends on the type of guide licence held by the guide and the angling situation.

A Guide I (Professional guide) may guide up to three licensed anglers at a time while wading or fishing from shore or one licensed angler if angling from a boat. A Guide II (Licence to accompany) may accompany only one licensed angler at a time.  

I’ve lost my Outdoors Card and I don’t know what my number was. Should I register for another Outdoors Card number?
