FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following statement was issued by Premier David Alward today in response to the Supreme Court decision on the Williams (Tsilquot’in) Case:

This decision shows that Aboriginal rights are important. Our government will continue to respond constructively by working with First Nations to determine how provincial practices can help establish long-term relationships with the Aboriginal community.
