Overview
NB e-CLAIMS is an on-line, electronic system for mineral claims acquisition, maintenance and searches.
Eligibility
The general public can use NB e-CLAIMS, as a guest, to access maps showing the location of mineral tenures and to search databases.
A prospecting licence can be obtained via the NB e-CLAIMS application. It is valid for a lifetime and may be issued to a person who is at least 19 years old, to a company, or to a registered partnership.
A prospector (an individual holding a valid New Brunswick prospecting licence) can use NB e-CLAIMS, as a client, to register and maintain mineral claims.

NB e-CLAIMS is a web-based computer application that provides users the ability to accomplish the following:
As a guest:
NB e-CLAIMS provides for the on-line viewing and printing of maps that show the location of mineral tenures throughout New Brunswick. NB e-CLAIMS also provides for the querying of on-line databases containing public information about mineral tenures.
As a client:
NB e-CLAIMS provides for the acquisition and maintenance of mineral claims anywhere in New Brunswick for registered prospectors.
A mineral claim is valid for one year from the date registered. Mineral claims can be renewed and transferred. In order to keep a mineral claim in good standing, exploratory work must be conducted and reports of work must be submitted.
