Overview
The Partnerships and Business Names Registration Act provides for the registration of the name of a partnership.
Eligibility
Members of every partnership carrying on business in New Brunswick for trading, manufacturing or mining purposes must register the partnership name under the Act.
A limited liability partnership carrying on business in New Brunswick is required to be registered under the Act.
Description
A partnership is required to file a Certificate of Partnership under the Act.
A limited liability partnership is required to file a Certificate of Partnership as well as a Certificate of Designation of Limited Liability Partnership.
As prescribed in the Act, various filings are required to maintain the partnership name registration e.g renewal of a certificate of partnership every 5 years. The relevant statutory provisions and forms should be referred to.

Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
